Endocarditis and myocarditis: a brief review

Abstract

Endocarditis and myocarditis are conditions seen worldwide with considerable morbidity and mortality. Despite the improvements in diagnostic technologies, clinical diagnosis remains crucial as only prompt recognition will lead to appropriate investigations and timely intervention, which may be life saving. In this review, the authors provide a concise overview of endocarditis and myocarditis.
