Pages 90-92 | Published online: 12 Jul 2024

Abstract

In recent years there has been growing agreement on the need for workers taking part in development and social welfare activities in low income countries to be trained in the social factors relevant to their particular specialisations. The Conference was concerned with the provision of such training for technical and professional workers at various levels including those studying at universities and those in training as district or village-level workers at local training centres.
