Abstract

Getnet Kassa B. Int J Womens Health. 2021;13:9—17.

The Editor and Publisher of International Journal of Women’s Health wish to retract the published article.

It was brought to the journal’s attention the author, Bekalu Getnet Kassa, had taken data from a previous research study undertaken in 2019 by another researcher. The author used this data without permission and submitted the article to the International Journal of Women’s Health on the pretence that it was an original study performed by them. The author indicated the study had been performed in the South Gondar Zone of Northwest Ethiopia in 2020 and the data had been collected from hospitals in the South Gondar Zone, Ethiopia, from 12 January 2020 to 03 February 2020. However, the data was actually collected from Bahir Dar health facilities, North West Ethiopia, by another researcher in 2019.

The Editor requested for the article to be retracted. The author wishes to apologise and agrees with the decision to retract the article.

Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
