Abstract

The following short paper is a response to Anna M. Chave's paper “Dis/Cover/ing The Quilts of Gee's Bend, Alabama” in Journal of Modern Craft, Vol. 1, Issue 2, pp. 221–254. It also considers the outcome of the lawsuit that was still pending when Chave's article was published.
