Theorizing in Perspective

Epistemic Pluralism

Pages 180-190 | Published online: 07 Dec 2014

Abstract

This article examines the claim that public administration theorizing can upgrade its language game, even in the short run, by a grand strategy of epistemic pluralism that includes perspectives like neuroscience. It indicates why public administration should care about neuroscience, and how public administration can evaluate whether epistemic pluralism has important benefits. It comments on myths that tend to impede the upgrading.
