Abstract
"Social University," a special supplement to Wen hui bao, carried on November 9 a letter from the paper's reader Duo Yan together with an editor's note that proposed discussion on the question raised in the letter as to whether college student Zhang Hua's action to save an old peasant at the price of his own life was worthwhile. The proposal drew a warm response from readers.
