Abstract

This reporter learned from the recent "Symposium on AFS China Programs" sponsored by the China Education International Exchange Association in Beijing that, in the current year, China will send seventy-two secondary school foreign language teachers to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, France, Britain, the United States, and Spain for a one-year program of study. This is the fifth such group of secondary school teachers China has sent out since the AFS started China programs in 1982.
