Abstract
On May 7, the Fujian Scholarship Foundation for Sending Students Abroad was established in Fuzhou. Xiang Nan, first secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Governor Hu Ping; other provincial and city leaders; and more than one hundred personages including famous professors, representatives of business circles, compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao, and patriotic overseas Chinese attended the inaugural meeting.
