Abstract
More than half of Lianda's students took part-time jobs, according to incomplete statistics. Outsiders could not know the trials and tribulations those students went through. Students themselves would feel embarrassed to tell others. Because monthly food stipends were far from sufficient, some students did not even have money for haircuts and laundry. Many had to help support younger brothers and sisters. To make ends meet, students simply had to find part-time jobs. In fact, part-time jobs had become a part of student life at Lianda.
