Vocational Universities Can Develop into Institutions Combining Vocational and Technical Education

Abstract

Vocational universities have developed swiftly in Jiangsu Province since the first one was established in 1980. They have played an important role in developing the province's higher education, speeding up the training of talented people, and readjusting the levels of professionals trained and the structure of educational specialties. Experiences gained have not only laid the foundations for future development of vocational universities, but have also benefited reform of the overall educational structure.
