Abstract
After the six months of preparatory work following the establishment of the "Preparatory Office of the Chinese Buddhist Federation" in November 1952, the "Foundation Meeting of the Chinese Buddhist Federation" (subsequently regarded as the "First National Congress of the Chinese Buddhist Federation") was finally held in May 1953 at the Kuang-chi Monastery in Peking; the "Chinese Buddhist Federation" was formally founded during the period between the thirtieth of May and the third of June.
