Abstract
This issue of Chinese Sociology and Anthropology completes the third and last of a series of organizational and institutional surveys drawn from the literature of the "Four Histories movement," Ch'en Kang's Changes at the Shanghai Harbor Docks. The translation of the first two chapters of this work will be found in the Spring 1973 issue of the journal (Vol. V, No. 3), and readers may find it valuable to examine the materials offered here in conjunction with both the translations and the analysis of the Four Histories movement by Professor Shih Ch'eng-chih contained in the earlier issue.
