Abstract

Hong and Jin got married after being in love of their own volition. In the early days of their marriage, the young couple got along quite well. Nevertheless, they began to squabble after the birth of their first baby. This was because the husband spent more on smoke and drink, plus he indulged himself in playing cards and chess and cared little about household duties. At first, persuaded by his wife, he showed some improvement. In addition, his mother was healthy and able to help nurse the granddaughter. Therefore there was not much disagreement between the two. Not long after, however, the husband relapsed into his old self. He disregarded the finances at home and only cared about how to satisfy his own needs. He took no notice of how hard his wife worked at household chores but indulged himself in playing cards and chess.
