An Investigative Report on the Migrant Population of Caitang Village, Xiamen Special Economic Zone

Abstract

Urban anthropology engages in comparative study of the different cultures in a complex society. Its major focus has always been the comparison of urban and rural cultures and the study of the migrant rural population in urban surroundings, especially the question of how rural culture is adapting to the urban way of life.
