Abstract

The article holds that the third "cultural craze" begun in the 1980s is now taking off with maturity and specialization. In this "cultural craze," anthropology in China is facing the critical situation of national modernization and social transformation. It will bid farewell to the days of monologue, step into the international anthropological arena, and join the dialogues among anthropologists.
