Abstract

Shih-huo pan-yüeh-k'an [Shih-huo Semimonthly] was inauguarated by T'ao Hsi-sheng in December 1934 in Shanghai. It emphasized the study of China's socioeconomic history and had established itself as a leading journal in the field in the short time before it suspended publication in July 1937. In April 1971, it was revived by Professor T'ao in Taipei, under the nw title Shih-huo yüeh-k'an [Shih-huo Monthly]. We are delighted to present in this and the next issue of CSH the complete tables of contents of Shih-huo yüeh-k'an from April 1971 tp February 1977, as we believe that this will serve as a useful index to this learned and valuable journal.
