Problems Facing Vocational Education [in the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic]

Abstract

In the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic there are altogether 980 secondary vocational schools, with some 20,000 teachers, 72,000 vocational training specialist and 8,000 tutors, catering for the needs of approximately 450,000 pupils. In this area, not only does the state participate, but also enterprises and cooperatives. The first private schools in this sector have come into being.
