Ethics for the Future of Big Data Governance

Abstract

The future of public administration lies in its ethical knowledge work and expertise. Government knowledge in years ahead will rely on Big Data research and analysis. Given the strong role that data analytics will play, three principles of research ethics—beneficence, precaution, and refinement—are arguably the ideal ethical principles for the future.
