Abstract
Rybalko's article represents a considerable undertaking. He has attempted to provide a developmental perspective on the multifactor and multifaceted aspects of the human lifespan. My commentary focuses on society's influence in creating and perpetuating outdated views that negatively impact on both the society and the older adult who is currently a part of that society.
