Abstract

The press plays an important role in performing the tasks of communist construction set for the Soviet people by the Program of the CPSU. Works of political, scientific, educational, artistic, and other literature are means for the ideological-political and moral education of the workers and are necessary for scientific-technical progress and for the cultural development of society. The Soviet press also actively struggles against the influence of bourgeois ideology and propaganda.
