Abstract

The four essays presented here are quite diverse. In "A Perpetual Warning," Boris Tarasov undertakes a reexamination of Dostoevsky as an anticommunist thinker and prophet, discussing the ideology of The Devils in the light of the history of "materialist" thought, and considers the relevance of the author's ideas for the moral and ideological problems that Russia faces today.
