Abstract
In November 1921 A. V. Lunacharsky made a speech to the participants in the Second All-Russia Congress of Proletkult [Proletarian Cultural and Educational Organizations], the stenographic record of which, although published, has escaped the attention of students of literature and biographers of this prominent cultural figure. This was probably because the publication of the speech was not, until very recently, recorded in any of the bibliographic indices to Lunacharsky's works. And the publication in which the speech appeared came out in a small edition that has long been a bibliographic rarity.
