Abstract
Article 1. The standing committees of the Council of the Union and the Council of Nationalities are auxiliary bodies of the chambers, formed for the preliminary examination and preparation of questions within the jurisdiction of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and also for active assistance in implementing the decisions of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
