Pages 284-292 | Published online: 19 Dec 2014

Abstract

Sociological research techniques are penetrating ever more widely into various branches of juridical science. In Soviet criminology these methods have rightly attained the status of basic techniques, for they make it possible to penetrate more deeply into the nature of the antisocial phenomena under study, to discover and analyze more successfully the variety of circumstances promoting the commission of crimes, and to develop the most purposeful and effective measures to eliminate them.
