The Kliaz'ma Has Become Cleaner

Pages 276-280 | Published online: 19 Dec 2014

Abstract

I still recall a heated discussion of five years ago at a meeting of the Noginsk City Soviet. It was heated because the matter at issue was a very important one, disturbing to all — nature protection. At that time, certain industrial enterprises were dumping their wastes into the Kliaz'ma. The Glukhov Textile and the Obukhov Rug Fabric combines were particularly guilty. In addition, some factories were pouring too much smoke into the air.
