Abstract
Problems of the economic competition between the two systems are calling forth the very closest attention all over the world. Judging by numerous letters we have received, the readers of our journal also show a deep interest in this question, above all in the economic competition between the USSR and the USA. In this issue we are publishing an article by V. M. Kudrov, Sector Chief at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the USSR Academy of Sciences, which touches upon some questions of the economic competition between the USSR and USA, in particular, describing an approach to the examination of that problem and its characteristics during the present stage.
