Abstract
Performance by policemen [rabotniki militsii] and the unarmed volunteer police auxiliaries [druzhinniki] of their duties in the protection of public order involves the danger of possible offenses against their lives, health, and dignity. Proper application of the legislation providing penalties for such offenses is of major significance in preventing them.
