Abstract
In our country science is assigned a responsible and honorable role in the economic and social development of society. "The utilization of science," says the Program of the CPSU, "is becoming a decisive factor in the mighty rise in the productive forces of society." In carrying out the major tasks posed by the Twenty-fifth Party Congress, Soviet scholars in jurisprudence contribute to the cause of progress in science and technology, the strengthening of the country's power, the shaping of the Marxist-Leninist world-view of the Soviet people, and the solution of the pressing problems facing the Party, the state, and the people at the present stage of the building of communism.
