Abstract

The decisions of the Twenty-sixth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) call for the substantial development of pipeline transport. Hence, under the current five-year plan alone, five large gas pipelines will be built in our country. At the same time, considering, inter alia, the interest of a number of West European countries in purchasing natural gas from the USSR and the existing possibilities, the decision was made to build a special pipeline to export natural gas.
