Abstract

This article will examine three questions: (a) the legitimacy of extending discriminatory U.S. laws to firms outside the USA; (b) the legitimacy of extending these laws to contracts concluded by West European firms with Soviet associations when the contracts pertain to products manufactured by the given firms under American licenses; and (c) the reverse impact of discriminatory measures taken by the U.S. government.
