Abstract
The moral regulators of the mass behavior and consciousness of "Soviet man"—this was the topic of the first part of this article [Chelovek, 1992, no. 1]. The author chose attitudes within the army and attitudes toward the army as a model for investigating this problem. The second part of the article deals with attitudes toward the correlation of repression and tolerance within the public mind.
