Spots on the Robe: What Is Happening in the "Third Kingdom"?

Abstract

Although "judicial arbitrariness" [proizvol] is clear enough as a concept, in ordinary life it is quite blurred; that is, it is sometimes difficult to determine when an arbitrary act is taking place and where a judicial mistake may have occurred. Nonetheless, I have collected in my notebook a fair number of cases that may be unambiguously classified as arbitrary. All these facts are of such a nature as to require thought.
