A.K.: Professor Lesage, you are a well-known specialist and an expert on the constitutional systems of Eastern and Central Europe. Your book on the 1977 Soviet Constitution was published a while ago, and I must say that even then I was struck by the depth of your analysis and the objectivity of your assessments. Now, just before the fifth birthday of the 1993 Constitution, what would you say in comparing the two constitutions?
