The War in Yugoslavia: From the Victimization of Serbia to the Suicide of the West?

Pages 69-73 | Published online: 08 Dec 2014

Abstract

From the editors [of Polis]: Under the Dixi! rubric we publish personal-opinion articles. Such materials usually address controversial topics and are often biased; one can agree or disagree with their arguments, but they nonetheless express the views of highly qualified political scientists. Polis considered it vital to discuss the problem of international armed resistance in the Balkans while refraining from premature political-ideological or moral evaluations—that, indeed, is the purpose of the media. We attach greater importance to the fundamental need for a theoretical treatment of new approaches to complicated issues of the contemporary world order, especially where open conflict is involved.
