Pages 30-44 | Published online: 08 Dec 2014

Abstract

Have there been any qualitative changes in mass consciousness and in the system of social concepts, attitudes, motives, and values of ordinary Russians in the post-Soviet period of Russian history? Or do their reactions to the new reality mainly display features of the Soviet mentality, formed through the experience of several generations? This article suggests one possible approach to answering these questions.
