Abstract
Whenever multiculturalism is discussed, I am reminded of two leading figures in today's entertainment industry. One is Samuel Huntington, who has done more than anyone else to spread the idea of a multicultural world in which competing civilizations are drawn into an endless struggle. The other is George Lucas, director of the Star Wars films, who has for many years been telling the story of far-off galaxies populated by a variety of civilizations, some good and some bad.
