Abstract
The Russian market is developing against a background of global change in the world economy. By the end of the twentieth century, the transition to a new civilization, the postindustrial information society, was well underway. The most developed countries of the "golden billion" have already entered this stage, while poorly developed countries are being left permanently behind. This transition is inseparable from the intensive development of information through global computer networks (above all, the Internet), which are increasingly spreading throughout the world and creating a new virtual cyberspace of man-machine society, where the characteristics of space and time differ from their representation in systems of real coordinates.
