Abstract
The formation of an integral union, the Union of Belarus and Russia, has noticeably changed the geopolitical situation both in the post-Soviet space and on the European continent as a whole. The recent ratification of the Russia-Belarus Treaty Establishing a Union State has attracted public attention not only in the other countries of the CIS [Commonwealth of Independent States] but also in the West.
