Abstract

Acute abdomen in pregnancy can present difficulties in both diagnosis and treatment. In this patient the presentation of an acute abdomen was due to some intra-peritoneal hemorrhage complicating a pancreatic metastasis from a primary dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma arising from the right iliac bone. Neither the primary nor the secondary growths had been suspected previously.
