Proteolytic Activity in Supravitally Shocked Lung Tissue

Pages 124-126 | Received 18 Jul 1961, Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

Proteolytic activity in extracts of lung from 25 supravitally shocked guinea pigs showed a significant increase in comparison with activity in extracts from 22 normal animals not sensitised but otherwise similarly treated. The significance of using supravital shock in the study of inhibitory factors and their influence is discussed.
