Abstract
Jendrassik's manoeuver was applied during the rotatory test in 20 cases of Menière's disease and two cases of involvement of the inner ear after parotitis epidemica when turning the head 40° from the middle line towards the affected ear was observed. Romberg-Babinski-Hirsch-waltzing tests gave even better results under Jendrassik's manoeuver. It was stated that the cross-perception of the bone conduction test (bone receiver on the frontal or parietal region) was more evident when the named manoeuver was applied and the lower jaw tightly clenched. The neural mechanism of Jendrassik's manoeuver is discussed.
