Pages 29-34 | Received 17 Dec 1969, Published online: 18 Feb 2010

Abstract

Acoustic and electroacoustic methods of measuring normal middle ear impedance were compared and evaluated. It was concluded that normal subjects yield similar impedance results in the areas where comparisons are possible. There are advantages and disadvantages with either technique, and the method of choice depends upon the type of impedance information desired.
