Incus Fixation Due to Congenital Anomaly of Chorda Tympani

Abstract

A case of a rare anomaly of chorda tympani nerve is reported. It differs from the known and functionally unimportant variations. In this case a bony “sleeve” of the nerve caused fixation of the incus, thus participitating in the conductive hearing loss.
