Auditory Adaptation in Hypoxia

Pages 212-216 | Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Hypoxia corresponding to an altitude of 5 000 m may influence auditory adaptation at 4 000 cps to an individual degree. Only rapid adaptation seems to be affected by oxygen deficiency whereas no measurable changes of slow adaptation can be found.
