Abstract
The sympathetic nerve pathways to the nasal vasculature were examined in 8 cats by recording the effects of section of the orbital nerves on vasoconstriction produced by cervical sympathetic nerve stimulation. No sympathetic fibres were found in the sphenopalatine and infraorbital nerves. The majority were conveyed by either the Vidian or ethmoidal nerves, the remaining fibres are believed to reach the nasal cavity by the periarterial plexus.
