Laryngectomia Cum Neoglottis Phonatoria

Abstract

Neoglottis phonatoria means laryngectomy followed by a plastic reconstruction by Staffieri from Italy (Fig. 1). the upper end of the trachea is left inside the skin and covered with the frontal part of the oesophagus, in which a small fistula is formed to allow the nassaee of air into the oral cavity.
