An Electron Mickoscopic Study of the Vestibular Sensory Epithelium

Pages 494-507 | Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

The osmium-thiocarbohydrazide preparation technique previously used in conjunction with scanning electron microscopy for assessment of cochlear anatomy has been used to study vestibular structure. The technique allows a detailed study of vestibular anatomy which, when supplemented with transmission electron microscopy, gives a more complete picture of vestibular structure than previously presented.
