Abstract
Masking of tinnitus by acoustic stimuli, espe cially the residual inhibition, which extends beyond the duration of the masking stimulus, is a dynamic process with an individual time course. Various methods for measuring residual inhibition of short, medium and long duration are presented, and their typical results are dis cussed.
