(Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry)
Pages 211-213 | Received 02 Aug 1967, Published online: 06 Jul 2009

Synopsis

A sequential trial of Oxazepam (Adumbran) was carried out on 20 psychiatric outpatients with features of anxiety as part of a personality disorder. A 20 mg. dose t.i.d. was compared with placebo. The result suggests that Oxazepam (Adumbran) is an effective minor tranquilizer and a useful drug in the treatment of psychoneurotic anxiety. The drug appears to have negligible side effects.
