A Simple Polarizable Electrode for EEG Audiometry

Pages 365-369 | Published online: 07 Jul 2009

Abstract

Electroencephalic energy transmission as a function of frequency for solder electrodes was investigated since this type of polarizable electrode has an economic advantage over commercial non-polarizable types. The electrode's characteristics were measured and replicated at infrasonic frequencies in saline solution. The results of the investigation revealed that values of linearity, frequency response and phase response were acceptable for evoked response audiometry.
